THE COMPANY

Fernán Cardama is an actor theatre, director and theatre pedagogue. His company have been born in Alcala the Real, Jaén, (Spain) in 2003. It explores different forms of expression from the relation between the performance, the puppets and the theatre of objects.

Also, Fernán Cardama is the international consultant in organizing of the International Puppet Festival in Brazil “SESI Bonecos” and in the International Puppet Festival, “Titerías” of Mexico, and he was the director of the annual Meeting of Puppets for Adults of Alcala la Real, “Titereal” (first international puppet festival for adults in Spain) from the first edition in 1999 until the last one in 2010.

"Sopa de estrellas" “Stars Soup”

Last work of the company , released May 2015. Show. It’s an spectacle of objects, puppets and action for children and family audience. Tells the story of Blas, who is a working child, invisible, on the day of flooding of his city. Julio Petruchelli, the neighborhood who guards the square says: "The flood brought many bad things, but also some good. Flood day I won a friend; I met Blas.” Blas pushes a cart to collect cartons, with him goes his faithful friend, Chispa. Blas and Chispa are street , they have hard hair and brown eyes, like cardboard!

“Cuatro Alas. entre el cielo y el mar-” " Four Wings. Between sky and sea”

Released in February 2011. It’s an spectacle of objects, puppets and action for children and family audiences. It is the story of Four Wings, the fish that tried to fly, the hurdles that he has to overcome to do so and who helped him to fight for his desire.

“El regalo” "The Gift"

Mini spectacle released in 2009, inspired by the story of Isabel Allende's "Gift for a girlfriend" directed to for children and family audiences Show of action, magic details and handling of plane figures with mechanisms.

“Historias de Media Suela” “Stories of half sole”:

That it is released in April of 2006. Spectacle counted with shoes where small stories follow one another and a version of Red Riding Hood, Caperucita. This is a spectacle of objects and performance for children and familiar audience.

“La vuelta la mundo en 80 días” “The turn around the World in 80 days”:

Released in January of 2004. It is an adaptation for a single actor of the Julio Verne’s novel, worked with the aesthetic one of the old toys. 

This work has obtained the prizes:

• • “Better spectacle of small format” in FETEN, European Fair of Theatre for Children, Feten 2004.
• • “Special Mention of the jury” in the Fair of Palma del Río, Cordoba, Spain, 2004, by “The intelligent and sensible proposal for familiar audience”.
• • Award 2005-2006 Imagine "to the Best Show, awarded by the Centro Cultural de la Villa de Nerja, Spain.
• • First Prize Regional Independent Theater Festival, La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. October 2015.

“Llegó el cartero!!!” “The mailman Arrived!!!”

Released in November of 2001, is an adaptation of the story “Happened 2” of Eduardo Galeano (story of “the books of the hugs”).

This spectacle has obtained:

• • Prize Company Revelation - Fair of theatre of Palm of River-Cordoba, Spain, year 2002.
• • Prize to the Best interpretation and manipulation - Albaida’s Festival of Puppets, Valencia, year 2002.

• • Prize to the Best Performance and Manipulation, Festival the International of Puppets of Plovdiv-Bulgaria, “Three are too many many- Two Not Enough”. September of 2003.
• •  Special Mention “Better Spectacle” - Festival the International of Puppets of Plovdiv-Bulgaria-“Three are too many many- Two Not Enough”. Jury of Holland (Representing of the Stichting Oost-Europe Projecten, Dordrech) - September of 2003. 

“Hamlet, eres o te haces?” “Hamlet, you are or you become?”

Adaptation of the classic one of Shakespeare in key of clown directed to adolescents and familiar audience.

In 2004 Fernán Cardama receives the Award given by ADSUR Lugia. "Development Association Southern Highlands County (Jaén), “For the promotion of culture in the Region southern highlands of Jaén ".
